Bear Knuckles gloves are designed to fit tightly for better control and dexterity. Our sizing guide reflects a glove that will fit like a second skin. With regular break-in, the leather will expand and conform to the natural shape of your hand. If you desire a loose fitting glove, we recommend sizing up (L instead of M).

Conditioning for 1st Time Use

To achieve a perfect fit, Bear Knuckles gloves should conform tightly to your hands when wearing for the 1st time as leather will stretch.

Break-in Steps

  1. Put gloves on
  2. Spritz with water
Note: If gloves are water/oil resistant, use mink oil or leather conditioner instead of water
  3. Wear until dry

Maintenance & Cleaning

All Bear Knuckles gloves are safe to hand or machine wash and dry. After machine washing, gloves will shrink to original size and may be stiff. Follow Break-in Steps above to recondition.

Great but..

LOVE them a lot. Reason for 3 stars is DO NOT get blood on whatever the black material is. We messaged BK to inquire if they recommended any way to get it out, with no response. The black material gets Unbelievably rigid to the point you can Not wear them without getting nasty hot sore spots. We tried soaking and washing with Multiple solvents, to no avail. But, we did break down and buy another pair, because they Are great otherwise. Just will plan more accordingly when I wear them.

Hi Sid, thank you for your comments. We didn't receive a request from you in our support email but we're happy to help address your concern. The black wedges in the fingers are leather. Use a toothbrush break up the dried blood. Soak a clean, cotton cloth with leather cleaner. Then, move the cloth in circular motions over the stain. Let the surface dry off for at least 5 minutes; then, dip another clean, cotton rag into a leather conditioner. Lightly massage the product onto the leather, and let it sit for 5 more minutes. Afterwards, wipe off any extra conditioner with a cotton cloth.

Solvent will be destructive to leather and dry it out, that is why you are getting a 'rigid' feel from them after soaking in solvents. Avoid solvents and use cold water or preferably leather conditioner.
