Bear Knuckles gloves are designed to fit tightly for better control and dexterity. Our sizing guide reflects a glove that will fit like a second skin. With regular break-in, the leather will expand and conform to the natural shape of your hand. If you desire a loose fitting glove, we recommend sizing up (L instead of M).

Conditioning for 1st Time Use

To achieve a perfect fit, Bear Knuckles gloves should conform tightly to your hands when wearing for the 1st time as leather will stretch.

Break-in Steps

  1. Put gloves on
  2. Spritz with water
Note: If gloves are water/oil resistant, use mink oil or leather conditioner instead of water
  3. Wear until dry

Maintenance & Cleaning

All Bear Knuckles gloves are safe to hand or machine wash and dry. After machine washing, gloves will shrink to original size and may be stiff. Follow Break-in Steps above to recondition.

Long lasting gloves

Just need a xxxl size, otherwise nice gloves.

Awesome gloves

Not much shrinkage after heavy use and they keep the heat out very well. I love these gloves and I don't think I'm going to be trying any other for a long time. Much more dexterity with the relief cuts in the side. I haven't had any bb's burn through or sit in the relief spots that made them uncomfortable. If you're thinking about it buy them they'll last what you need them to.

Good fit, but

They are a good fit but the fingers have already burned holes in them.

I'm sorry that the gloves have burned holes in them. The leather we use is very durable cowhide, 1.5mm thick which is above standard for welding. Because leather is a natural and non-manufactured item there isn't anything we can do to improve heat resistance on the leather itself, and it sounds like any pair of leather gloves would have holes as well under those conditions.

Already protected my fingers from burning

They appeared well designed and easy to wear. Not bad dexterity. Laid my hand across a piece of hot metal and branded the back of the glove and did not even feel it, much appreciated.

Best welding glove I've found yet.

Great reviews led me to try these and I'm glad I did. After swapping out for an XL I was super satisfied with the overall fit and quality. The big difference was the decreased heat flow from the weld. Comfy and cool with an ample cuff.
